At Mazhalai Masala (operated by SD Foods), we handle everything from order packing to doorstep delivery ourselves. This Shipping Policy explains how your order is processed after payment, how it reaches you, and what to expect at every step.

1. Order Processing After Payment

Your order enters processing only after successful payment confirmation.

  • Razorpay payment (card, UPI, net banking, wallet) — order is confirmed instantly upon Razorpay payment success notification.
  • QR Code (UPI scan) payment — order is confirmed once we receive payment confirmation from the UPI network. This may take up to 10–15 minutes in rare cases.
  • If payment is successful but order confirmation is not received, contact us with the transaction screenshot and UTR number.
  • Orders placed before 12:00 PM are generally processed the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM are processed the next business day.

2. Packing & Dispatch

  • All products are carefully packed in food-safe, tamper-evident packaging by the SD Foods team.
  • Products are dispatched within 1–2 business days of order confirmation.
  • A dispatch confirmation with tracking details will be sent to your registered mobile number / email.
  • Dispatch may be delayed by 1–2 days during festival seasons, public holidays, or high order volume periods.

3. Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges (if any) are displayed at checkout before payment.
  • Free shipping may be available on orders above a minimum order value — check current offers on the website.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable once the order has been dispatched, except in cases where the error is on our side.

4. Delivery Coverage

  • We currently ship across Tamil Nadu and all major cities and states across India.
  • Delivery to certain remote or rural pincodes may not be serviceable. We will notify you if your pincode is not covered.
  • We do not currently ship internationally.

5. Order Tracking

  • Once your order is dispatched, a tracking ID and courier partner name will be shared via SMS or email.
  • You can track your order on the courier partner's website using the tracking ID provided.
  • For tracking issues or lost packages, contact us at sales@mazhalaimasala.com with your Order ID.

6. Delivery Attempts & Failed Deliveries

  • The courier partner will attempt delivery up to 2–3 times if the customer is unavailable.
  • If the package is returned to us due to wrong address, absence, or refusal — re-shipping charges will apply for re-dispatch.
  • Please ensure your delivery address and mobile number are accurate at the time of ordering.
  • If the package is lost in transit, we will either reship or refund as per our Refund Policy.

7. Delays & Force Majeure

While we strive to meet all delivery timelines, delays may occur due to:

  • Natural disasters, floods, or extreme weather conditions.
  • Public holidays or government-declared shutdowns.
  • Courier partner operational issues.
  • High-volume seasons (festival periods).

In such cases, we will communicate proactively and work to resolve delivery at the earliest.

8. Damaged or Tampered Packaging on Arrival

  • Please inspect your package at the time of delivery.
  • If the outer packaging appears visibly damaged or tampered, photograph it before opening.
  • Report the issue to us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your Order ID.
  • We will arrange a replacement or refund as per our Refund Policy.

9. Policy Updates

SD Foods reserves the right to update this Shipping Policy at any time. The latest version will be published on mazhalaimasala.com/shipping-policy. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
